It’s easy to hide a birthday gift from my husband, just leave it in plain sight. Likewise, hours after he’s come home from the barbershop I probably still haven’t noticed or commented on the quality of his haircut. It’s easy to skip over the details in a fast paced, data heavy life, but there are consequences. We miss so much pleasure-the robin’s egg left behind on a patch of moss and we subject ourselves to so much extra work-retrieving the coffee cup left in the car after we’ve already climbed the stairs from the garage.
